You can register your mobile number with your bank account for the first time by either visiting the SBI ATM or the home branch. Given below are the steps to register your mobile number by visiting an SBI ATM:

SBI Mobile Number Update

  1. Swipe the card and select ‘Registration’ from the menu.
  2. Enter the ATM PIN and choose the option for mobile number registration.
  3. Put in the mobile number that you want to register and choose ‘correct’ after checking that you have entered the right number.
  4. Re-enter the mobile number and press ‘correct.’ You will get a message on the ATM screen thanking you for registering the mobile number. You will get a call from the contact center within three days.
  5. You will get a reference number sent to your mobile via text message.

If it matches, then you will have to verify your personal details and your mobile number will get registered with your bank account. You will get an SMS that confirms the registration.

If you want to register your number for the first time from the home branch, you will have talked to the help desk of the branch. You will be given an application form that you will have to fill and submit to ensure the registration of your mobile number. You will be informed about the registration through SMS.

Updating or Changing your Mobile Number:

You can update or change your mobile number through internet banking, SBI ATM, or phone banking. There is no need to visit the home branch for this purpose but you will need to have a debit card.
